If you or anyone you know will be in Detroit on Saturday, July 29th, tell them to stop by the Midwest Urban Film Festival to see a block of our films, including Grumboon and Liontown. The films start at 1:10PM at Cobo Hall. In addition, stick around to see the fine film Hooch and Daddy-O, screening immediately afterwards.

I am proud to announce that Severed Will of the Seppuku Warrior, the 48 Hour Film Project film some of us worked on, won the prestigious "Best Use Of The Line" award. Congratulations to all the award winners - if you missed any of the action, you can pick up the DVD of the winners from KDHX.
Hooch and Daddy-O, a film I helped to edit, has been playing in numerous festivals and winning a plethora of awards - check it out on MySpace.

Time to update.
What prompted me to write this update is the fact that we just finished work on Severed Will of the Seppuku Warrior, which is our entry into this year's 48 Hour Film Project. We worked with Pancake Productions - Aaron did the writing and editing, Suzanne did the production design, and Matt did voiceover work and has a cameo. The film will screen with other 48 Hour films this Wednesday, tomorrow, June 14th, at 9:00PM, at the Tivoli Theater in University City. There will also be a "Best Of" screening, next Thursday, June 22nd, at 8:00PM, also at the Tivoli Theater in University City. Of course, we won't know if Severed Will of the Seppuku Warrior will screen then, but it's possible.

Matt Sinopole will be performing stand-up comedy this weekend as an intermission piece to HOBOHEMIA - a free dance performance, choreographed by Wendy Ballard, featuring music from Dave Stone!
The performance takes place at UrbanBreath, at 1320 Lucas Ave, in downtown St. Louis, 1/4 block north of 14th & Washington. There will be two performances, April 8th & 9th, at 8:00PM, free admission, with refreshments for sale.
We're also offering a special deal on our DVD-Rs, The Egg and The Matt Sinopole Show. If you plan on attending Hobohemia and would also like one of these DVD-Rs, contact us about it and you will receive half off the price - each DVD-R will cost only $5, as long as you message me beforehand and come to one of the scheduled performances.
